On this website you can find manuals of the most common models. If the manual you need is not in this list, you can send us an e-mail (info@cadaceurope.nl) and we will send you the manual by e-mail.

  • A gas barbecue is immediately hot
  • Easier to clean
  • Finely adjustable temperature control (for most models) with a control knob
  • Easier to light with an automatic piezo ignition
  • Gas barbecues are allowed more often on camp sites and can also be used on a balcony or in a park

The Skottel stays clean by using CADAC non-stick liner; after use, the liner can be cleaned by simply rinsing with hot water or in a dishwasher. If you don't use the liner, you can clean the Skottel by boiling some water with detergent in it. After that the Skottel can be easily cleaned.

Chromed grid:
Clean the grid in water with some detergent. When the grid got encrusted you can soak it for a night in water before you clean it.

Enamelled grid: The enamelled grid is easy to clean with some water and detergent. Never use scourers, abrasives or metal tools as this can damage the enamelling.

The paella pan and the reversible grid have a non-stick coating. Always use wooden or plastic tools in order to prevent damage. The tops can be cleaned in warm water with a soft sponge or dishwashing brush. Never use scourers or abrasives.

While you barbecue, the fat will drip into the fat pan. If you place some water with vinegar or some sand into the fat pan before use. After use you can easily skim the fat. If you don't remove the fat from the fat pan on a regular base you will increase the chance of “flaring ”.

The PowerPak is secured against leaking. When the gas valve of the PowerPak is opened while not being attached to a barbecue, it automatically blocks the gas flow. The PowerPak has to be reset (outdoors);

  1. Turn off the gas supply of the PowerPak.
  2. Unscrew the hose of the PowerPak (with supplied wrench).
  3. Insert a blunt object in the gas outlet. This eliminates the pressure in the gas pressure regulator.
  4. Screw on the hose again.
  5. NOTE: Before the gas valve on the PowerPak is opened it must be connected to a device.

The Skottelbraai originates in South Africa: when farmers were in the open field, they took an old plough shear to prepare dinner. They kindled a fire blow the shear and the meat was “braaied” (grilled) on top of it. CADAC created a round & enamelled shear (Skottel) and used a tube to connect it to the gas bottle. At this moment the “Skottelbraai ”was born!

Nowadays a complete range of CADAC products is available, but the basic idea is still the same: prepare a complete and healthy meal with easy to build, easy to use and easy to clean equipment.

First check if the burner, the gas valve and hose are free from dust, and then if the gas valve on the gas bottle is open. If your grill has a piezo ignition, you can easily check whether the defect is in this piezo ignition: In case you can light your barbecue with a long match, it is likely that the piezo ignition is defect. (Note: the piezo ignition of the BraaiMaxx runs on batteries. Replace the batteries and check again if the piezo ignition works).

When you connect a hose to your bbq, we recommend to perform a leak test. Always do this outdoors! Prepare a mixture of water (1 part) and detergent (1 part) and spread it on the gas connection. Then turn the gas on. When bubbles appear on the connection, there's a gas leak. You must reconnect the hose. Always close the gas supply of the cylinder/cartridge before you close the gas supply of your barbecue. If the bubbles appear again in a second test, please contact your CADAC dealer.
